As women in midlife, we are often faced with the caregiving responsibilities for our elderly parents. It’s something that seems to come upon us in the blink of an eye because we don’t routinely want to face the fact that we are ALL getting older. But the truth is, we are older adults taking care of older people in their old age. Most of us are baby boomers who are retired, or soon-to-be retiring, and before long we’re all going to be old people! We are among the fastest growing age group in America today.
I’ve written lots of articles about taking care of elderly people, but I decided to share some fun facts for senior citizens, and about senior citizens, that might help lighten the burden of caregiving responsibilities.
